Modern Event Rental was started as a sister company to Precision Sound and Lighting. Since 2000, Precision Sound and Lighting has been serving Chicago for event production lighting and sound needs. As the company grew, the need for a Midwest event furniture company was realized and Modern Event Rental was founded in 2009. Event professionals through the midwest rejoiced in knowing they could create elaborate themed events with quality furniture to suit the brand and feel of the events they were planning.Modern Event Rental started as a 5000 square foot event furniture rental warehouse and has grown a number of times to its current an almost too small 12,000 square feet. With each client’s new request, Modern Event Rental considers its existing inventory and designs and fabricates custom event furniture for rent. Adding chandelier rentals, lighting rentals, and AV rentals to the mix plus custom wall panel designs and elaborate pipe and drape rental supplies has allowed Modern Event has become a premier midwestern U.S. event rental company with service throughout Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and Minnesota. The in-house Modern Event designer furniture line was created to offer clients original and affordable quality-made items suitable for any size event. We proudly design and manufacture most of our event furniture rentals in-house. We’re also happy to create custom-fabricated pieces for a specific event client request.
